Broken Milanese Loop

Just curious. If you purchased a genuine milanese loop band from Apple and the strap broke causing the watch to get damaged. Where would you stand?

If the Strap broke on your behalf, it would be your own fault. If the strap broke being it could be faulty, then Apple should stand behind their product.

OP felt it was glue keeping the parts together. Apple has been using a lot of glue in its notebooks and now we think that might be the case for bands as well, hence glue-pple. Was just a poke.

That's what I figured. Part of the reason for the adhesive is for the larger batteries and it's a cheaper solution.

I think glue is the best method to hold things in place without taking up space. I believe that's why Apple use it.

This has just happened to me on the Milanese Black .... will take it back to the Apple shop and see what they say!

The original post was made in 2015, when the Apple Watch was still new. It wouldn't be surprising if the original bands had some manufacturing kinks. Was yours one of the original bands, as well? Please keep us updated on how Apple handles it.

I think glue is the best method to hold things in place without taking up space. I believe that's why Apple use it.

And as you guys who have read the Fixit-type articles know, the glue/adhesive they use holds stuff really well, much to the annoyance of guys trying to take their electronics apart. I'm sure they will be interested to see why the bands failed.
