Hi,
My first post on these form so hi!

I have a red iPhone 4 that is experiencing some internal and extrernal damage that I am looking to sell to try and replace with another iPhone.

The wifi is not working correctly as in the antenna has been damaged because I cannot get wi fi unless I am literally standing next to the router.

There are several screws missing on the inside of the phone.

The red back is broken however I know the easy fix for this.

My point is is that I would like to sell this iPhone And see if I can get enough money from it to purchase another iPhone off eBay.

Would it be better to sell the iPhone as parts or sell it as a broken iPhone?
How much is the average broken iPhone?
Would it be better to wait untill the iPhone 5 is released?
Does the red increase the value?

RE: Broken iPhone 4

Welcome!
Damaged iPhone 4? It's outdated and not functioning fully.
Is it first or second hand?
What is the extent of the external damage?
If you have damage to your antenna, and to the body of the phone, I can't see you getting half what you paid for it. Who wants a broken iPhone?

There will not be much difference in what you'll get for it, because the price is already fairly low. I would sell it as a whole iPhone.

How much is the average broken iPhone?
Google ;)

Would it be better to wait untill the iPhone 5 is released?
No. That will cost a lot more than what you're hoping to get for your iPhone.

Does the red increase the value?
No

Where did you possibly get a red iPhone? Apple has only made black or white.

probably just swapped the casing over.

probably just swapped the casing over.

Probably explains why it's not working now

To the OP, just list it as a non working iPhone 4. Display plenty of pictures and be totally upfront and honest. If you have good feedback, you will get a decent price, not great, but even non-working iPhones do well when from trusted sellers.

It can be, but you would be unlikely to get any money for the broken parts, and you would require much patience getting some of the parts to sell.

How much is the average broken iPhone?
It really depends on what is actually broken, for an iphone that still turns on you could expect to easily get $200+

Would it be better to wait until the iPhone 5 is released?
In my opinion, yes. Although it costs more money at first to get the latest iphone it will last much longer then buying any of the previous models. With iphones the more you pay, the longer it lasts

Does the red increase the value?
Not likely, sorry
