Hey everyone,

Siri isn't loading on my 2017 MacBook Pro running the latest public beta of macOS Mojave.

Anyone seeing similar issues?

Thanks!

18A336e on a 2018 MBP (w/ touch bar) and Siri doesn't work at all...

Can anyone else confirm if this is replicated, or if it's a T2 hardware issue.

Thanks!

can be replicated it over and over. Build number is borked they need to issue an update. Reinstallation of Mojave doesn't fix it.

Hey Siri doesn't work for me on 2017-tbMBP at all. Doesn't even work half the time on my phone either. And then half the times it does work it's because it picks something similarly sounding up.

2017 13in MBP Base Model fresh install of Beta 4 (18A336e) || Siri cannot hear me even though built-in mic seems to be detecting audio in sound preferences settings window. Also I noticed Siri's rectangular popup box you get from clicking Siri circle in menu bar is semi-glitchy with strange artifacts. Could be because of Dark Mode/Night Mode?

Yes, I am sometimes getting a little dark grey (even though I am using Light Mode) Siri box with no info in it that refuses to go away until I restart my Mac... it also then seems to take down the system slowly, crashing individual apps until I am forced to reboot.

Very odd.

TURNS OUT.... ProtonVPN jacked up all my connection settings and blocked Siri.. probably broke it on beta 4 too I just didn't figure it out yet. I've since deleted all entries created by ProtonVPN, uninstalled and Siri works great now.

I've switched to Windscribe VPN and Siri works WITH it installed.

Case closed.. for now :)

It appears that I have been experiencing issues similar to yours, Siri would not initialize when using either the Menu or Task Bar icons and has not responded to Hey Siri since the second Beta of Mojave. Currently using: mid-2015 MacBook Pro Retina 15” Mojave 10.14 Beta (18A347e).

FYI: Today Siri will look for some files such as PDFs, Pages, etc but she does not recognize me! She keeps telling me to add myself to the contacts/address book but I am already in there. So I deleted myself and imported a fresh vcf card, and of course no help there. I reset things and at least now she kinda finds me by address in maps, albeit a few doors down the street .

Everything seemed near perfect upon installing the new Mojave (developer release) after it debuted, although on day four or five things started to go downhill with errors and stuff “not working right”. The biggest issues have revolved around Siri, not being able to find documents (even ones that were just created that day), not being able to find my location for weather and other contact information even though "My Card" was clearly in the Apple address book and shown as such.

Side Bar: I typically have to complete an Indexing every week, otherwise Siri cannot find much of anything on my computer; although she seems to always be capable of finding a file from 10 years ago that I do not need but ask for a document that was just created minutes, hours or days ago and Siri is stumped. I want to love Siri, but she is rather useless unfortunately much of the time. I can go on, but way bother as everyone knows the issues regarding Siri… she can find you one minute and spit-out information as requested but try and ask her again later (with the same prompts) and she is totally stumped and doesn’t know what to do or how to respond.

I know, I know… I got a bit off-subject but that is how things go when talking about Siri, either she is working okay or she’s off-the-rails again.
