Broken trying to restore

Hey guys I've spent the past two hours trying to upgrade from 4.2.8 to 5.1.1 on a Verizon 4 phone. I have both the original 5.1.1 firmware and another custom stitched with the blob using redsn0w. I'm running itunes 10.6.3 right now on WinXP machine. I had to put the device in DFU mode and the restore was working somewhat but then it failed with error 1 code. Now I can't even boot into the old OS anymore. Not sure what to try next. I think if I restored with custom firmware it gives error 1. Now if I choose any firmware it gives error 3194.
 
oh omg thank gawd redsn0w with its DFU pwning fixed everything and the iphone booted back up with the ios 5 firmware intact, booted up and asked me to set up the phone again. no trip to genius store. :bowdown:
