I'm fairly new to mac and I'm still finding out new things every day. I have been trying to browse my cell phone using bluetooth. I have used more than one cell phone to make sure it wasn't the issue. When the box opens it displays that it is browsing, but never shows any folders. The box remains empty. My phone is paired with my macbook and I can receive files on my phone using bluetooth. What am I doing wrong?

You likely have to install some drivers for your Mac to recognize what your phone is. Unfortunately, computers don't see phones as external drives, so it takes some tweaking to get this to work. You'll likely have the same problem whether you connect via Bluetooth or USB.

I'm able to connect my Windows smartphone to a PC using ActiveSync and browse files, but unfortunately this doesn't work with a Mac. Even without ActiveSync, the PC can't browse the phone.

I can't seem to locate any drives to add to my phone. I have no issue sending files to and from my mac. It is only when I try to browse the device that I have issues.
