I am attempting to connect to a browser-based vpn in Safari. I can successfully connect to the vpn, but when I attempt to Remote Desktop to the server I need, it doesn't work. Does anyone know how to do this?

IE. I go to http://vpn.sitename.com and log in to the vpn. Then I need to connect to a different IP within the network such as 10.1.1.193 to do my work.

VPNs don't work through a browser by itself. Some VPNs use a browser plugin, which you must install, before you can use the browser to connect to the VPN.

Make sure you have the correct version of the plugin installed on your Mac. It should be listed when you choose Help > Installed Plug-ins in Safari.
