browser crashing

can anyone out there enlighten me as to why i'm getting so many browser app crashes all of a sudden? camino, firefox, and safari have all gotten very vulnerable to crashing all of a sudden. especially on websites such as ebay, youtube, and myspace. on these sites i'm guaranteed to crash within two minutes. video seems to accelerate the occurence. i'm using a 6 year old G4 1.25 Ghz w/one gig of ram running tiger 10.4.11. 😡
