Browser hacks?

Okay, trying to keep this short, because I'm posting on the iPad.

Basically, when I read forums, I like to open all the threads I want to read in tabs, then go read them. On the iPad, it automatically switches to whatever new tab I open. Is there a way to prevent this?

Also, is there a way to make tabs run independently of one another? It would be nice to listen to music in one tab and surf the web in another.

yes icab hold on the link it will bring up a menu and you can choose open in background tab

Don't listen to those people, icab blows. You want to stay with safari, go and download enhancedtabs from cydia and you can change options for what happens when you click open in new tab. Works for both iPhone and iPad.
