    Acid3 test is OUT

Its designed to break all current browsers, so don't be surprised when your browser can't pass it. Its all about promoting the future and standard.

Webkit nightly has greatest improvement and currently leading in Acid3 test with 87/100 scores. Firefox 3 nightly and opera 9.5 weekly are currently at 67/100, 65/100.

    Test is here

    It mainly tests

Firefox 3 beta 4 is frozen
, if you are using nightly, from today you will get beta5pre. All features are pretty much set for final release of version 3. Tweak and bug fix is the main focus from now on.

PGO has landed for windows, still wait and see if it will be turned on for Linux and Mac before final release of version 3.
you can get beta4 rc1 here

(Profile-Guided-Optimization improves the performance by ~10-25%)

IE8 is said to expand the support for standard
IE 8 now claim between two modes (standard mode and "backward compatible mode"), it will default try to render in standard mode. which is, IMHO, a good thing.

Very pleased about FF3. I downloaded the nightly yesterday. Looking forward to the final release. FF just gets better and better.
