Hi, as well as having a nice quick G4 tower, I have a number of older computers that I still use + work absolutly great (albeit a little slow). They are about 7 years old + I am trying to get a decent browser for them. Here are the specs:

PowerBook 1400c (System : 7.5.3)
117Mhz 603e
16Mb RAM (Very limited)

Which browser would work quickly + simply without fuss? It is a joke trying to run the current browsers (IE or Netscape) on the machine! FAR TOO SLOW (+ RAM Hungry)

try iCab, I hear it's pretty nice. I think they're the only developers still making 68k browsers.. as well as PPC, of course.

iCab is definitely the best bet for an older system like yours. it offers a very small footprint (hd and ram) and is very standards compliant, not to mention fairly quick. i think the old netscape 4.7 is actually a very good browser and if you are just going to be running the browser program (not aol, or other internet apps) 16 megs should be fine. (i use it on my 6100 and it performs well, considering the machine).
