In the last few days, this has started happening:

I visit a URL, and the browser hangs while loading the page, and if I leave it for about a minute, it times out completely. If, however, I hit Command+R to reload the page while it's hanging, the page instantly loads every time.

This doesn't happen for every website, but it does for enough of them to be annoying. It happens when I visit sites by clicking on links as well.

This happens with Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. I have no plugins running on Safari so I don't think it's AdBlock or anything.

I got my ISP to reset my modem, but this is still happening.

Any ideas?

Thanks for the reply, but that doesn't make much sense. This problem only started occurring for me in the past week, though I've been using Yosemite since it was released, and am still on it now. Why would it suddenly start happening if it were an OS issue?

Do you have a reference stating that this is a known problem with the OS?

I recently bought a Macbook Pro and this happens to me, also. It has El Capitan on it.
