I remember on Mint PPC 11, there was a browser called Midori. A webkit browser, that allowed even the G3 iMac 400mhz to stream desktop YouTube somewhat decently. I have a feeling webkit based browsers perform a lot better on YouTube than Gecko/Mozilla.
What browsers are included with Mint 19, (besides Arctic Fox, don't get me wrong it's a great browser), and are there any speedy webkit browsers available anymore?
I'm guessing Midori is long gone...

Midori’s development stalled for many years but recently, it was picked up again and apparently, they’re at version 7 right(they were at 0.4/0.5 back when I used it on my PowerMac G4 in 2011/12).

I’m not sure if there are PPC binaries and whether it’s as good as it was before but you should certainly give it a go if you can get it on your system :) If you want YouTube, I hands down recommend using MiniTube as that was the only YouTube-playing solution that worked when running Linux on my 400MHz PowerMac G4 Sawtooth.

Good Luck!

Is mini tube a mobile player for YouTube, like tenfivetube, and is it still working with the new YouTube changes? I find the mobile players work best.
