And I came across this. Is there a diff. between getting banned and banished?
hmm... maybe that was term used when we were on an older version of the forums...
I think Neserk was "banished" fairly recently, so I don't think it's an antiquated term for banned. But I don't know what the difference is between the two.
I'll bite, I'm interested. Colour me curious.
Im actually curious about this too, I also noticed in some older posts (back when guests could post) there was a rank called "Registerd User" was this the old newbie rank or something?
i don't recall that one
but in the beginning, there was guest, newbie, member, and senior member
Inquiring minds still want to know if there's an answer out there. Thanks!
What ever happened to neserk?
oh wait thats what this is about
so lets here it
This is always a good day to browse the archives as a ton of new people will swarm the site in a few hours and most of them we will only see once and then they will disappear into the crevices of MacRumors.
Haha...I joined after MWSF...gosh, must've been 2002...? The one where the iMac G4 was released.

I think banned means the username and possibly their email address is banned, but banished means their IP is also banned. Just a guess.
