I have a question regarding the use of protection using the materials these two products are made up of. When charging the iphone I have read that your supposed to remove any case the phone is in, I suppose to avoid heat issues. Will these cases cause any trapping of additional heat whether charging or under any other use?

No, not at all. Just for the record I have the BSE full protector and could not be happier.
