I have a annoying problem with the bt kb for quite some time.
Each time my mac mini awakes the kb behaves as if a key is stuck, repeating itself infinitly. I have to turn the kb off pressing the button for at least 5 secs, and then turn it on again, and then all is well until it sleeps. But repeating this process each time it goes to sleep is very irritating. I thought the problem was my kb and so I tried another identical kb, but the problem persists. However the trackpad and magic mouse are always ok. I made the reset of the bt module, unpaired and paired several times with no result. Changing kb batteries does not work either...
Also the macOS has changed since Mavericks to High Sierra with no effect on this.
Any ideas?

This doesn't answer your question, but...
... sometimes -wired- keyboards are just better. Less trouble.

Is the repeating key always the same key?
Is that key pressed to wake your Mac?

I got into the habit of pressing only the shift key when waking my Mac, just on the chance that some other "normal" random key may cause a problem of some kind as a result of waking up.

Which Mac mini do you have?

You should also test with a wired USB keyboard, just to see if it is not bluetooth at all, but something related to keyboard input in the system.

I can not be absolutely sure that it repeats the same key because it happens only on wake up, and the password box only shows asteriscs, usualy I press enter, but it happens with any key. With wired kb I have no problem. Anyway, I kind of solved this nuisance pressing the mouse instead to wake up, and then write the pw the normal way...
My Mac mini is late 2012 i5 +16Gb ram +SSD 500Gb
