The Lacie looks nice. How about a review once you get it up and running? I'm also looking for an NAS solution. :)

I'm also looking for a compact NAS solution. Has anyone looked into the Western Digital My Book World Edition II?

Does anyone know what drives are used in the products from Buffalo and Lacie? I'm assuming that Western Digital uses their own drives in their NAS products.

Lots of negative comments around the Web on the MyBook World drives.

I picked up the Buffalo LS-W2.0TGL/R1 and it uses the Samsung Spinpoint F RAID disk (model HE103UJ). Great disks for the price, but I'll probably end up building a server around them as the Linkstation is pretty limited in features and there are reports of poor network performance.
