bug - after every WatchOS update, shuffle resets to "play from beginning"

After every WatchOS update for at least a year, in the Workout setting, my preference to shuffle my workout playlist rather than "start from beginning" resets to the latter. I've reported this several times but it just happened again after the latest update.

I assume I'm not the only one encountering this. Perhaps someone with a dev account can report it? Thanks.

Interesting. I have the same bug but mine seems to happen much more frequently. I’ve taken to adding a calendar reminder to check it every Wednesday. It seems to roll over about once a week but maybe it is with updates. I’ll have to keep a closer eye in when it’s actually happening.

It's definitely been after each WatchOS update for at least a year or so. I check each time as soon as an update is installed to see if Apple fixed it.

It's definitely more frequent that every WatchOS update for me. It's happened to me 3 times in the last week. After some thinking about it, I THINK that it's happening when I switch watches. (If my main watch runs down on battery & I pop it on the charger, and start using my backup watch, I think this is what is triggering the main watch to revert to Play from Beginning. Not that it helps your issue, but figured I'd post it here in case someone else has the same issue & searches out this thread.

Like clockwork, updated the WatchOS just now, and this same bug persists. This has persisted thru at least 8 to 10 WatchOS updates now.

My watch has the same bug and also my CarPlay has the same issue. I am thinking the update bug is in the phone and not the watch

Did not work for me on CarPlay. Still the same issue. It goes back to the same song everytime even after I shuffle the songs then when I stop and take the phone out of the car with me and return back to the same song all over again
