Bug in Mail

Under "MAIL" Preferences one is allowed to change the font size in both the message list and in the message body on the right-hand side.

HOWEVER, changing the font size in the MESSAGE LIST does nothing. Nothing.😡

Actually, font size can be easily changed in the right-hand column, the message display.
But, fonts in the left-hand column, message list, CANNOT be changed.

Does that imply there is a known plan to change this in a forthcoming rev ?
