So I have an SSD and after a clean install of Yosemite I noticed the boot time went from ~11 seconds to over a minute. After doing a verbose boot, I saw why. This process hangs over 300 times before crashing the boot and taking 30 seconds for the system to recover from.

Any idea what the f*сk is going on?

Re-install Mavericks and see of the boot times decrease, it may be a Yosemite bug.

How did you create your installation media for Yosemite? If it was with DiskMakerX, I have had problems with it corrupting the flash drives I use.

Try installing Mavericks from Internet Recovery, then immediately pop on to the app store and install Yosemite over it and see if that doesn't help.

I actually installed it from another disk on the same system :/

EDIT: Thanks though, will try that
