Bug Report: Late 2012 27inch screen

I noticed what looked like a small area of damaged pixels in my iMac screen this morning. A macro shot revealed that it wasn't pixel related:

Focusing a little deeper revealed the culprit!

A small spider has lodged itself between the backlight and the LCD panel. RIP.

It never managed to get out (and I still wonder how it possibly found its way into the LCD), so my screen is currently being replaced under warranty.
