Okay, then appreciate your games not being able to run on them. In order to play modern games, you need modern hardware.

Is that even worth playing? What are the specs of his computer?

If you want to build a tower, go ahead and build one - don't expect it to run games at that price. If you want it to run games, shell out about double (At least around $650 to get a somewhat decent gaming machine.

I just wanted to build one, I mentioned playing games and everyone goes bezerk saying NO NO NO. Thanks for your replies dude ;)

And to all the people who are saying get an xbox or a ps3, I have an Xbox.

I have a friend who has a 7025 and he play MW2 on there on minimum settings and he gets 20fps so...
Like I said before, a graphics card isn't everything. Like fireshot91 said, you'll have to spend decently more money to get to play those games.

Edit: So this isn't for gaming? That's what everyone on here is thinking, like me. You just want to build a computer?

Some people skimp on the PSU :(

I always skimp on my PSU, simply because switching one out takes 30 minutes, and the cheapo ones usually last a year or two under heavy load.

If you just want to build a computer, but don't care to play games, lets see what we can do to cut your budget even more.

Your CPU can be bumped down to an AMD AM2+ CPU, find a motherboard that supports AM3, but is older, so the integrated graphics are bad, but you'll be able to save a lot of money. You can get a good, older motherboard, for $50. I'm not sure how this compares to £ though.

You can probably get an 80gb HDD from eBay, maybe £10? I used an Sempron 1800+, which I got refurbished for $18. Look for something similar. What I'm saying is, if your computer isn't going to be used for gaming, you don't need power. at all. Skimp ALL the way, just make sure that everything you do buy, can be upgraded. This means your motherboard needs to support AM3, DDR3, etc...

I just want to build my first computer yes :)

I only need say a 128mb card just so I can enable 'Aero' in Windows 7 and maybe to play my all time favourite game San Andreas :D

I was just wondering if the graphics card I mentioned in my OP would be able to cut modern games like I mentioned earlier.

Yes, just a budget PC that'll do all the basics nicely and smoothly.

After a few more hours research I've managed to cut my costs down to £160 ($255)

Specs;

AMD Sempron 145 Single Core 2.80ghz Processor

ASRock N68C-S-UCC with Nvidia Geforce 7025 Intergrated Graphics (256mb VRAM)

4gb DDR3 1333Mhz SDRAM

Western Digital 160gb IDE Hard Drive

22x SATA CD/DVD-RW Optical Drive

And the case which has a 500w Prescott PSU included - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/130592190...AX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_3916wt_952

What d'ya think? For £160 I don't think that's too bad :D

Although I'd rather get my budget down to the £150 mark ($240)
