built in isight quality?

I'm planning to buy a 24" iMac but built-in isight (Duhhh) And was wondering is the quality of the isights pretty good or is it worth getting a digital camcorder if recording video podcasts/short films

My friend's iMac's camera is very strong.
A Handycam might be economical if you're displeased, however.

i have often used a JVC digital vid cam as a webcam, now i own a Intel with built in isight, i would say they are comparable in terms of quality
