Assuming Apple offers BTO on RAM to up it to 8 Gigs, how much extra do you think this will cost?

Dunno about the States, but it's €200 here, probably $200. It's on the website.

Seeing current prices at $45-50. Apple will probably charge $100 for normal people, and $75 to students and special folks. That's assuming it's even offered.

IF it's offered, I could see it only being offered on the 13" Ultimate. They could make it an extra $50-$100 or, more likely in my eyes, keep it the same price and further justify bumping up your storage for the "same price" (price of ram = decreased price of SSDs, so same price overall).

I think that the base 13" will probably have 4GB standard and 8GB optional, and the 13" ultimate model will have 8GB standard.

Seems like DDR3 RAM is cheap these days, seems like an easy way for Apple to add value without actually costing them very much.

    Hi,

It's €200 now for the MBP so it'll definitely be more than half that for the MBA (the 11" 2GB->4GB already costs €100).

    Peter.
