I could afford $29 but I also don't like feeling like a sucker paying that much for an ugly plastic ring. Also, if someone gives me the wrong change I'll say something because it's not about the quarter they shortchanged me it's the principle.
Because "black iPhone no bumper" was a choice.
But the bumper pitch was funny. It reminded me of when a salesperson tells you how reliable the TV or microwave oven you're buying is but after he gets the sale he insists you need an extended warranty.
Jobs tells us how strong this glass is but then he pitches the bumper.
This phone is ridiculously good-looking. I'm not covering it. If it cracks, c'est la vie. But I'm not covering my iPhone (or my couch) with a vinyl slipcover.
I like using the Iphone dock to charge my phone and sit on my nightstand so no bumper for me.
Can't wait for my white iPhone 4!

Ya...black Iphone with invisible shield for me. Sure hope you guys are planning on dropping your phone on a flat surface....lol because anything other than that and the bumper is a waste of money IMO.
I can just imagine the edge of a stair hitting right smack dab in the middle of the apple logo. Then people who bought the bumper come on here and post that they should get a *free* replacement because they were using Apple's bumper.

Thanks .. i was waiting for someone to photoshop too! I never liked the white iphone on 3g/3gs. On the other hand, I m attracted to the new white iphone 4 .. it will be the first time I am thinking to get a white iphone 4g now .. pretty much a 50/50 chance.

PS: Never going to pay $29 for bumper that covers only sides. It will eventually have cheaper bumper to sell before iphone 4 comes out. I hope some people will do some drop/resistance test before they destroy or smash their iphone 4 on youtube.

Im definitely getting the white phone... Agree with the above posted downsides (screen clash) but it's too hot to pass up. Will be my first white iphone. I will order a bumper (orange?/green?/blue?) if I can with preorder and decide once it arrives if it seems worth it. If not, I can return it and get something else, but I have found it difficult to find the cases locally in the past, so... Sure would like to go case-less. Wish I werent prone to dropping my phone!

I'm ordering two...black and blue. I will see which one I like better...and return the other. I'm ordering a black iPhone 4.
If I do get one, it'd be black. Wish there were more colors.. I'd like to have a black iPhone with red bumper.
I'd like a white phone with a grey bumper. Wish there was grey!! These things should be like $15 though. I most likely won't get one. Would like to first see if they truly have a purpose.
By the time you find out it serves a purpose your iPhone screen will be shattered.
Marware has them in red. I like Marware's color options better, but they seem a bit thicker than Apple's.
Hence why the bumper wraps around the stainless steal band only and not the glass faces. Like a bumper on a car? Get it?
I'm going orange bumper & white iPhone. I think the white looks much more clean cut. I'm not too excited about the bumper, but I'm definitely going to give it a shot!
To me, I thought the white bumper from the pictures was actually gray until everyone referred to it as white. I think it might actually have some gray on it, because from the picture of the blue one it seems the bumpers are two toned.
