Hello,

When I attempt to repair disk permissions using Disk Utility, I get tons of permission differences relating to Java/JavaVM. It claims it fixes them but if I run repair disk permissions right after, the same messages show up..

Why doesn't it actually fix them?

Here is an example
Permissions differ on "System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6.0/Home/lib/security/blacklist", should be -rw-r--r-- , they are lrwxr-xr-x .

Repaired "System/Library/Frameworks/JavaVM.framework/Versions/1.6.0/Home/lib/security/blacklist".

Same here, i first thought it was my fault, installing sl on en axternal hd before putting it in my mbp, but i noticed the same thing happens even when i try to repair disk permission on my desktop.
weirdo since there are A LOT of them

Ah good to know it isn't just me. I actually ran a Java app that turned out to be a likely Windows virus. But since it's a Java app, I wasn't sure if it could also affect Macs. I then ran the Disk Utility and those popped up
