Yellow Tail has made a big incursion into the US market with their very inexpensive shirazes and such. They're not being marketed as premium wines by any stretch. Decent for the price, I guess, but I don't spend much time in the "Two Buck Chuck" department.
As for Australian wines, I'd still like to thank that bottle shop employee in Glebe that suggested I take home a 1994 Kay Bros Block 6 Shiraz: the most prized bottle in my (admittedly small) collection. Gonna pop that sucker open for a special occasion pretty soon, hopefully.

Ahh, interesting. It's pretty common for Aussie labels to be changed and marketed differently in export markets. No doubt you get a different Yellow Tail.
