What programs are needed to burn a DVD to my HDD? I'm not worried about exporting to a Disc or iPhone. Just want it on my computer.

Since you just want it on the computer, Mac The Ripper will be fine. It simply writes a non-protected version of the original disk's files (the VIDEO_TS folder) to your hard drive which can be played with your standard DVD Player application. BTW- A cool "front end" application to play the movies stored on your drive (although not necessary) is called Matinee.

mac the ripper can remove the protection and make a copy on your computer, handbrake can rip to another video
