Okay, here is my dilema.
I have an .avi file that I want to burn on dvd, but I need to put the subtitles file (.sub) with it.
I have Roxio Toast, and apparently, it won't let me. So i tried my hand with ffmpegX and I encoded it using their instructions, but it's final result never gives me a .ts audio/video folder for some reason.
Does anyone know a better dvd burning software I could use, or different instructions on how to encode this video with the subtitles?
Thanks so much for your help!

Hey I'm having the same problem. Right now Ive used Toast and have drageed the avi file and the .sub file into it. Saving as a disc image(to save DVD's) to see how it will look like. If the subs are working well and good. Or else, need HELP!!:)

Quite simple. Convert your .avi to an mpeg, and import the mpeg into iDVD. Set up the menus etc in iDVD to your liking, then press burn. Insert blank DVD. Come back in a couple hours. Presto.
