Hi,

I bought my Apple Watch Series 5 mid october 2019. And now I noticed serious burn in even thow it has an LTPO display. I have a year of warranty so it will be fixed or exchanged I think. I uploaded a photo made with my iphone and edited it a little so you can see it better. Contrast and so on. It‘s made with the flashlight option on the watch.
Does anyone else have a problem with burn in?

There has been one other thread about burn in on the series 5. The OP of that thread got a replacement watch from Apple. You will get the same.

Thanks! I‘ll try that. But I wait until the warranty is about to expire.

Why? There is no logical reason to wait.

Because the warranty starts at the date I bought the watch and doesn‘t start again with the exchange watch. So I‘ll have the most out of the new watch. OR I get the new watch, sell it, and get the series 6 instead. :D

That’s one of the worst cases I’ve come across with image retention. At this point into August, I would just wait until the Series 6 arrives and sell your Series 5. And if you were to sell, now the time would be to do that, being we’re likely slated to see the Apple Watch launch for the next 5/6 weeks.

I can’t ever keep up with all the release dates. Are you saying the watch will go on sale towards the end of next month with the iPhone reveal?
