I’m pretty sure I have burn-in on my mini led iPad. As you can see in the picture there is a thin, vertical bar in the middle of the screen. The location and size of the bar is exactly the same as the black bar that separates apps in split screen mode. I use split screen almost all the time and for extended periods.

That doesn’t look good. Is it more pronounced with a yellow to reddish background? We have an LG OLED TV and it has major burn in from watching morning news shows. However, the burn in only shows when the TV has yellow to reddish colors on it. Then the burn in shows up in green.

That’s why I’m not a fan of OLED. Although I can say my iPhone 12 Pro shows no burn in.

Probably just image retention, but I could be wrong. If I am right, then leaving the screen off for a couple of hours should make it go away.

Hopefully it's just image retention that will go away after a while once the screen is off. I remember my old iPad mini 2 retina had severe image retention even after a short time but always disappeared after a short while. Really bad design flaw on those old panels so I hope that issue isn't back.

Old article on that here.

That's no good. Been using the Sony OLED going over 3 years now with Pixel Shift turned on and a yearly prompt for Panel Refresh. Luckily no burn in, just a marginal decrease in brightness. Is it because of a constant Logo displayed on the morning show (I'm not a morning person) 😁

{Edit: OLED cannot be compared to mini LED technology}.
