Burn-in on my rMBP display

on an LCD!?

I have had my rMBP for about 2 weeks. I am noticing light ghosting on the display...for example, an Gmail message might stilil be slightly visible when i switch to an all-black or all-gray tab in safari.

Is anyone else experiencing this, or might this be the display "breaking in"?

I have only experienced ghosting on a plasma display, so i'm a little worried about this.

Known issue. They will all eventually develop this fault. Some sooner than others.

yea, i had no idea this was a common thing with IPS panels. i can probably live with it, so long as it's not a defect specific to this unit.
