I have a number of video files that I want to burn off to a video DVD for a friend. I've tried using iDVD, but it seems to want to make everything so fancy and complicated to navigate though when all I want is to simply have a disc with at most a simple menu letting you select a file number to play from there, and that will auto play them in order once you start playing from a file.

Is there a way to do this in iDVD? Or is there a free or inexpensive app/program that will let me do this? Thanks!

That is definitely a nice program that will produce only a disc that you can insert into your player and it will show the movie.

If you want something in between, you could take a look at dvdstyler. It's also free and let's you create simple menus if you e.g. want to put two movies on one disc.
