burning .avi with idvd

Hey guys, i have been able to burn some .avi files with idvd but once they are burned the audio doesnt seem to match up with the video, it looks like one of those dubbed films or something, any idea what i could do to fix that?

I've experienced this problem at least once before. I probably tried converting the file to another format, but can't remember whether or not that solved my problem.

There are tons of threads on how to do this...😀
