Burning CD on PowerMac G5

When I burn a CD on my PowerMac G5 what burn speed should I use if I am making the CD for my mother who has an old Imac?? 16X, 12X, ????? It seems when I burn a CD at the maximum speed it doesn't work in her computer then.
