Burning DVD and Embedding Subtitles

Hello all,

Hope you can help.

I want to burn some films to DVD, however I want to also include subtitles.

I have the film and separate subtitle files, but I don't know how to merge them before burning?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Don't think there's an easy way... They either have to be encoded/authored onto the DVD with a advanced program like DVDSP/Encore or literally hard burned into the actual video file. When you're dealing with a DVD player it's not as simple as opening up a subtitle file like in VLC.
