I'm running osx 10.3.9 on my ibook g4. I don't have a super drive.
so i bought a LaCie DDV+RW 16x8x16 double layer external drive instead. For some reason i can't use the burn function in iDVD? Its never highlighted.

So i downloaded a differnent software called 'handbrake; do the same thing and i've managed to my movie to the disk but the audio is out of sync with the film.

Any ideas what i'm doing wrong? As the movie plays fine on my laptop before i burn it.
😕

There's a program you need, I think, that will modify the system to allow the Apple apps -- iDVD, etc -- to use the external drive... Let me see if I can find it.

EDIT: It's called Patchburn.

The latest version of iDVD works perfectly fine with my external burner. Older versions of iLife had some issues and you needed some hack to use them.
