I bought a MBP about 3 mo. ago. Love it except for one thing. The audio CD's I burn don't turn out that good. I have never had any problems with CD's I burned with my 2 old PC's. On my MBP the burn doesn't look as noticeable as ones I have burned with my PC's. The CD's I burn with my MBP start out working fine, but every song after song 10 starts to skip. I have burned with iTunes and Toast but get the same problem. I have burned data discs and backed up some DVD's and it worked without any problems.

I am using Memorex CD-r. Is there a better media that I should be trying?

thanks

The only place I have gotten my MBP burned CD's to work is my xbox360. Everywhere else I get the skips(car 2000 civic, home cd player 15 years old, Sony boombox 2 years old).

?

The first thing would be to try some other media...get a couple individual CDs from another brand and try those. If you have the same problem, it may be time to get in touch with Apple tech support.
