Burnt DVD w/ iDVD = Terrible Quality

i burnt a dvd with idvd and it looks terrible. big lines, very grainy, just plain bad. the sound is out of control like it's blaring and i didnt even touch it. what do i do?

Did you burn it with the correct TV standard for your region (PAL or NTSC)?

Did you make sure your prefrences are set on???
