I'm looking into business class internet, 50mbs/5mbs cable.

Would this hold up to 30 people using it for email / web?

Is Airport a good router for this situation?

Assuming all 30 people are just doing email, web, Facebook style browsing 50Mb/s down is pretty plenty. Even if you do light online video viewing it would still be enough. All in all 50Mb/s is already a lot for basic web stuff.

Gaming? Hell no! It's be suicidal. High pings and distributed bandwidth of ~1.66 Mb/s down and ~166Kb/s up. No ideal gaming conditions.

Heavy users? Even worse.

Airport or any other 802.11g/n will do fine.

The AEBS can have up to 50 wireless users.
And do you talk about 50MB/s or 50 Mb/s?
Anyway, 50Mb/s is 6.25MB/s, which should be enough for 30 users, unless they all have to access heavy webpages all the time and have to down- or upload lots and lots of attachments at the same time.
One company with 15 employees I worked at had a 800KB/s (6.4Mb/s) connection. It worked okay. The other company with 50+ employees had a 2MB/s connection.

Many of the offices that I have freelanced at, have wireless but also Ethernet at every desk. Most of the time if people plan on being at their desk for a few hours, they plug into Ethernet, especially if they are doing file transfers on the network.
