Busted iMac CRT?

Someone just sent me this video and their iMac CRT is doing this pattern.

Does anyone have any info of what the problem might be?

Maybe it's a simple fix like a cap needs replacing or something?

What model is it?
I woild suggest to reseat the videocable but you have to get inside of the case.

It's a grape coloured slot loader. I'm tempted to take it cos I'd definitely be opening it up anyway to turn it into an external monitor, but probably not worth the risk for asking price.

Actually, the fact it's a slot loader, I'm pretty sure it doesn't have a cables like the tray loaders did.

I've never seen a problem like that with a CRT of any kind. weird.

I'm only familiar with these slot loading models and i know that there is a cable mounted with 2 screws to the motherboard that goes to the neckboard of the CRT. Maybe worth a try to reseat it. Otherwise, yes, a weird pattern...

I decided to just leave it. not worth the risk. The seller said he's gonna turn it into a lamp. Shame.
