So my sister has a TiBook with a broken screen. It's hanging on by nothing mroe than a wire (literally), and the screen itself does not work. However, the computer is fine, and she has it connected to an external LCD monitor. Unfortunately, the TiBook thinks that there are two monitors, with the broken TiBook's being the primary one.

Question: Without being able to see System Preferences, is there a way to switch the computer into a mirrored display mode? No, I do not have an Apple keyboard on which I could hit F7.

Not sure for the Ti's but, there is hack out there if you put the screen on top of the Powerbook and enable clamshell mode and use an Apple Wireless KB and mouse, the screen will turn off and be in "clamshell" mode which then the graphics card will only give power to the external display.

someone correct me if i am wrong. :)
