Just buy it.... If it's not perfect, return it! I do think that every iPhone has some small minor defect but you might get lucky!

3 perfect 3GS' here. Girlfriend, friend and I have nothing to complain about.

I'd suggest taking the plunge. You certainly won't regret it. Unless of course your service sucks and you didn't know because you didn't look into it before buying.

Just sayin'.

As usual, Apple seems to be going the extra mile to make customers happy during the first month or two. You shouldn't have anything to worry about. If you have a legit problem, Apple should make it right.

What issues? I upgraded from my old 2G iPhone to a 3GS release day and it has been flawless.

Some people have had issues with yellow hued whites and overly warm colors on the screen. Other complaints are that during heavy use the White units appear to overheat by showing brown markings on the back case.

Mine has yellow screen and my bezel overlaps on the right side of the backing. Never bothered me until today when I saw someone else's 3GS and had perfect bezel and no yellow what so ever on his screen. Im going to exchange it out. Would I have if I hadn't saw his? Probably not. Get one, you'll love it!

I am having issues with the touchscreen. Sometimes it will not work and seem like it's frozen, though it's not. The home button still works and the phone still runs. I've taken the phone to the Apple Store two times. Once where they found no test issues and restored the phone, the other where the Genius stated there is a known problem with the touchscreen cable. Apparently, this cable is soldered by hand and some are not being soldered correctly. Apparently, he opened the phone in their shop and confirmed it was loose. Ye properly seated the cable, gave me a work order, and says that if it happens again to come back and they will give me a new one. It happened again!

i got one yesterday... the screen is significantly more yellow than my 3G, which is a bit of a disappointment... not sure if i'll try to exchange as the odds seem against me getting one without the warmer/yellow screen
