Quote from Apple:
Uni Students and faculty, buy a qualified Mac and iPod and save $200 after mail-in rebate.*

You know, mine is the same way but i said screw them. Besides most of the stuff that is required for classes is given to you. I know that the programs and stuff i need are installed on the computers in the labs. It is not a comfortable as being at home/dorm and doing it but at least you could get a computer you want to use.

I say get the iMac and iPod

Non-edu buyers of the MacBookPro can get $300 off a 30GB iPod from David Jones if they bundle their MBP with Applecare at the time of purchase too...

I just got back from some O-Week lectures and Apple had a pretty large presence there. It looks like they're really making some moves down here. 😎

It's abut time...

We get a similar deal in July-September each year in the US. That's the traditional start of the school year here. Is now the new school year for you Aussies?

Yeah, I didn't take advantage of that last year. (I'm from the US 😛)

The only reason I found out is that for some reason, when I got mail from Apple and I clicked one of the links, it sent me to the AU Store. Weird.
