I have been reading about the butterfly keyboards and that it has given many problems, although about the 13 "MacBook Pro presented in 2019, people theoretically say that it is improved and does not give those problems, even if I bought it I have also been reading that you would have 4 years of warranty after purchase. But of course, the MacBook Pro 16 "presented this year, they have changed the keyboard, do you think that the next MacBook Pro 13" will also have that change to keyboard scissors ?

So I'm thinking of waiting for a while and waiting to see if in March (which theoretically they say a new one could come), Apple is going to release a new one, if not I imagine that in June, July It would be here, and I could possibly take the student promotion with a gift of headphones .

Also an improvement in the Macbook heating system, and some improvement in speed with graphics cards or something similar.

Should I wait a while or do you think it's not worth it? It may be that even making some major change will raise the price more, right?

Your best option is to wait for the new release.
But don't expect it until May-June or so.
Maybe earlier, but as-yet unknown.

Same boat. I was looking at a 2019 MacBook Pro 13 base for $850 on Craigslist. Might pass and wait to see if they come out with a 14” this year 👀

Thanks for our opinion, I think it’s better to wait, but it’s a lot of time jajaja then I have to resist

Over here

Nope, you have 4 years after the model was first available for sale, not from when you buy it.

Having said that, if you look around the noise has quietened significantly around keyboard issues from 2019 onwards which suggests it is fixed in as much as it can be and if you don't use the keyboard warranty in the extended cover period time then I doubt you ever will.

That said, if Apple are going to launch a 14" with the updated keyboard and some spec bump on the 2019 model then you may choose to wait.

Ah okey, so it’s prefer to wait.

In this case I am thinking to buy the MBP 16”, what do you think about this?

I'm going to wait for the 256 GB RAM/5 GHz/core 8 MBP model that I can drop $25K on.
Should send emails really quick.;)

I would wait. I have a 2018 Macbook Pro 13 and have never really bonded with it due to the butterfly keyboard, sound popping issues and crashes. Apparently 2019 is better, but the scissor switches just aren't plagued with the same issues as butterfly, so why risk it. I never thought about how critical a good keyboard was until I had a sh*t one.

Yeah, waiting is the answer. Who knows how long now, given our current state of affairs, but it would be a bummer to get a new machine when one with the fixes should be around the corner.

Yeah no point getting the 13" as of right now.

Wait for the new keyboard, display & DDR4 with higher clocks.. Same for 10th gen CPUs
