iPhone XS Buy a used XS or a new 11?

I am upgrading from an iPhone 8 that I've owned for two years. I am interested in a newer form factor.

I was planning to buy a used XS once these new ones were announced, hoping to find it around $600- but now I see the 11 is going to be $699. That's not much of a price difference, so it has me rethinking.

I really want the smallest size of phone and want to keep costs down so I can always consider upgrading to a more radical update a year from now (especially if they come out with a smaller phone).

So what say you, is it crazy to buy a used XS instead of the entry level 11? What price point would it have to be to buy the used XS? Will the entry level 11 price cause the used market prices for the XS to go down more?

Buy the 11 pro max. Also buy the AirPods. Do you really want people seeing you with an old iPhone? I would never be caught deal without the latest and greatest

XS used for about $650, new for $800 or possibly go with an 11 for $700- though I'm pretty sure I want the smaller form factor. Any advice from people out there? It all depends on you.

Whether or not you prefer a slightly smaller OLED screen, a telephoto camera instead of an ultra-wide, the new camera features (night mode, deep fusion, 4k60p smart hdr video), the upgraded front facing camera, more colors, material difference, etc...

If you want to upgrade next year, then I think the Xs might be for you. You like the smaller form factor, and it's cheaper. Plus it has a better screen and the stainless steel is better imo.

8 is still a great phone. I’d pop a new battery in that and hold out.

I have an XS and actively dislike it. The reception and wireless speeds are garbage compared to my 8+. Waiting for a Qualcomm modem.

With the pricing being so close, I would just go with a regular 11.
