It would be my first Apple Watch.

Should I just wait for the 7, as it‘s right around the corner?

What would you do?

Thanks in advance.

You really spend a lot of time thinking about it ;-)

IMHO: Get one, sell it on later when you decide to get the S7. I mean come on, since you were thinking about getting a (fugly;)) Cartier Santos, money surely can't be the issue. Give yourself a present.

£379 is peanuts.

I just don’t like buyer’s remorse :) .

And yes, I like to do a lot of research about everything (I have clinical OCD. This was probably the main reason for me not buying the Cartier: I’d be too scared to wear it!).

Thus, now you know about my OCD, I hope you understand all of the questions?

As always, thanks for the advice.

PS: I think I’d just give the 6 to my nephew, when the 7 comes out.

Buy it - why not. The S7 may or may not be a worthwhile upgrade. If it is then you can always sell the S6. You'll take a loss but that loss can be compared against 2-3 months without an Apple watch.

If we were towards the back end of August I'd wait. I think right now I'd pick one up.

Thanks, buddy.

I was in the same position 4 weeks ago...and decided to buy an S6. I use it primarily as a fitness tracker / motivator and it's really worked...filled in the activity rings everyday since day of purchase. If I had waited, that would've been a 3 month wait before getting my motivational tool and 3 months of daily exercise I would have not done.

So if you only intend to use it for notifications, etc, it might be worth waiting. But if it's a fitness tool you want, buy now and get off that sofa!

Glad you’ve found it useful, bud.

Erm, my love of fitness is long gone, so it’d be used for the other features!

Thus, I’m leaning towards waiting.

I’d wait if I were you. It doesn’t seem like you’re in a Hurry for one and if you’ve waited/ analyzes this long, might as well see what changes come with the series 7.

I would never buy an Apple product knowing a new iteration and design will be presented in roughly 7 weeks from now.

If you find a really nice promo maybe, buy it and then sell it in two months to get Series 7.

If you can afford, which it seems that you can comfortably do, go for it and pass it on if you're compelled to upgrade for the S7. It is a great little device, that you didn't know you needed, but once you get it then it's hard to leave without it.
