buy an iphone from att question

i am buying an iphone for my son this winter. it is not the first time i tried buying one for him.. i bought him one 3 months ago but he didnt want it so we just gave it to a friend. how can i just buy a new one from att without having to pay the dif price. how can i just pay the 200 for the 3gs?

You have to add another line to your account or find a line thats eligable for an upgrade.
If not you'd have to pay full price for it.
