Buy now or hold off for free beats

I'm looking at buying the 2018 2.2/512/16/555x using student discount however there is no free beats in Australian store, should I wait until January to purchase, they offered them last January so they might offer them again.

i'm currently using early 2011 mbp which is still going strong with 8gb ram and 512gb ssd + 120gb ssd, I got macOS Mojave, macOS Hight Sierra and windows 10 on bootcamp all running great on it.

personal use includes macOS and iOS app development, web browsing, watching movies, youtube and so on

uni use includes MS office, SQL, Adobe Dreamweaver and whatever university tasks I get for my IT degree.

Since my current Mac is doing everything I need it to do should I just hold off buying a new one until January and get the free $400 worth beats headphones with it.

by that time most bugs such as bridge OS crash and crackling speakers would probably be fixed as well.

I considered buying the beats before but couldn't justify the price tag, another problem is, if I wait I would probably have another dilemma, get the free beats in January or wait for 2019 refresh which is frustrating.

why can't apple offer them during the refresh period like they do in America
