I bought now. I got my new PowerBook 15" yesterday. Merry Xmas!
The screen is gorgeous. No lines or anything bad. It is bright and sharp.
Aluminum G4 purchase: WHEN?
Wait until the MacBooks actually ship in February for better pricing on a 15" aluminum G4? or buy now because the best pricing drops on these has already been offered?
Are there different revs of the aluminum?
Do the "refurbs" sold on the Apple site have the screen problem? Want to use for graphics/photography. What if I get one w/the screen problem, will Apple replace it, or are they treating it as a characteristic rather than a flaw?
Afraid to just buy a 17" for fear I couldn't do w/out another 17" once I break down and buy later revs of the MacBook Pro later this year or next.

Some of the refurbs are the Rev D model which has no line problem.
