Yeah I'm interested in that as well. Do Apple Stores offer the Cram and Jam deal?

EDIT: THey have a rebate for 100 off on any selected printers. DO they sell printers at the stores and if so do they come with rebates as well?

Heh, my girlfriend's dad is so cool, he got a free printer from Dell (thanks to class action lawsuit about a mass defect in one of their laptop parts), and since he doesn't need it, I get it.

But the iPod mini deal will be great if it's true for the stores.

Also, what about the deal where if you buy an iPod mini now along with a mac you get the $179 rebatE? You can do these in store as well, right?

No offense, but have you looked at the rebate form?

"Products must be purchased from the Apple Online Store for Education Individuals, an Apple retail store, Apple telesales, or an Apple Authorized Campus Reseller located in the United States or District of Columbia."

Getting help on the board is all well and good, but questions about rebates are best answered by reading the damn thing. They tell you exactly what is and isn't covered. And when you rely on the boards here, it seems you often get answers from people who haven't read the rebate form either.

I have a question about the Cram and Jam and the printer promo. When I looked at both rebate forms, it says that you need the original UPC from the Mac computer you bought. Now is there more then one on the box (12" PB) so that I can qualify for both deals or is there only one? If is only one, then I will just get the Cram and Jam.

So, let me get this straight, all you have to do to get the Student Discount in a B&M Apple store is show your student ID?

powerbook

im thinking of buying a 15" powerbook, but the only thing i want to change is the vram, i want the 128mb. everything else i want stock. how easy is it to get this at the local store versus waiting for it from an online order. I also will be using an education discount. Another question i have is if AppleCare is worth buying. I do want this laptop to last or atleast be able to sell it in good condition. I personally would take good care of it but as far as just simple failure, is applecare worth your money????

You cannot get a 128MB VRAM model in the store. You cannot do any custom configs with one possible exception: you can probably add (regular) RAM. BTO has to be ordered online.

if am getting an iMac can they add ram in the store? and will i be able to change the standard keyboard n mouse with the wireless ones(and pay the 60$ extra) at the store?

thanks!

if you buy online, there's two serial #'s. one on the black box and one on the outter layer cardboard box. i believe it's the same for all apple products. ipod had the same thing. knowing apple, i dont think you will qualify for two rebates, but who knows.
